Balfour Beatty Communities Honored for Extraordinary Service to a Military Family in Need

Residential Communities Initiative recognizes Fort Bliss/White Sands Missile Range Project Community Manager for outstanding services to military members and their families

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Balfour Beatty Communities, LLC, a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty Capital Group, Inc. and one of the leading Public-Private Partnership (PPP or P3) providers of housing, lifestyle and community solutions for members of the U.S. military and their families, announced that Deborah O’Brien, Community Manager at their White Sands Missile Range housing project in New Mexico has received the Unsung Hero Award given by leaders of the Army’s Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) housing program.

The award honors an individual in the Army’s housing program whose unwavering commitment to Soldiers and their families leads him/her to go above and beyond the normal scope of his/her daily housing duties.

Ms. O’Brien oversees the management and maintenance of the 425 residences in the White Sands Missile Range community of military members and their families. Her extraordinary efforts were exemplified by her compassion and dedication during a family tragedy. Ms. O’Brien proved to be a tremendous asset to all involved, while she served as a welcome liaison between the family and the emergency first responders and provided swift and efficient action during trying circumstances.
