FOXBOROUGH, Mass.--()--Industrial Defender, the number one ranked leader in security for industrial control systems and the Smart Grid, today announced that Kimberly Legelis has joined the company as vice president of marketing. Legelis, who most recently served as vice president of marketing at Core Security Technologies, brings more than twenty years of enterprise technology marketing, management and international business experience to Industrial Defender.
“I’ve joined Industrial Defender for one simple reason”
“As Industrial Defender looks to accelerate our growth and expand the Company’s leadership position, we wanted a strong marketing leader with a proven record,” said Brian Ahern, president and CEO of Industrial Defender. “Kim’s extensive track record of building successful marketing programs around emerging technologies within rapidly changing markets adds a key element to our management team. Her passion for the customer and established reputation for fueling revenue growth will further enable Industrial Defender to meet the needs of this evolving market.”
“I’ve joined Industrial Defender for one simple reason,” said Kimberly Legelis, vice president of marketing, Industrial Defender. “I believe the critical infrastructure of our country and others is at substantial risk and Industrial Defender has the expertise to mitigate that risk. Industrial Defender has spent the last decade specializing in the security and management challenges of SCADA and other industrial control systems that operate critical infrastructure like power generation facilities, oil refineries, chemical plants, and the like. The Company has the technology, domain expertise, and market leadership to make a real difference in securing the infrastructure we rely upon in every aspect of our lives. I want to be part of that.”
Before joining Industrial Defender, as the leader of Core Security Technologies marketing team, Kimberly established the Company as a leader in security testing and measurement, while nearly tripling the Company’s 3-year revenues. She built a high-performance marketing team that launched half a dozen new products and elevated the position of the company into the enterprise security market.
Prior to Core Security Technologies, Legelis was director of North American field and alliance marketing at Symantec and director of financial services solutions at Symantec. She has also held various strategic, product, and international marketing positions with CyberTrust, and GTE (now part of Verizon).
Kimberly Legelis holds an MBA and Doctorandus from the Netherlands School of Business and a B.S. in Industrial Management and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
