HOUSTON--()--Today, Theatrics, the creators of the world’s first Mass Participation TV series, announced that they will name the winner of their Ultimate Online Audition Contest live on the main stage at Macworld | iWorld 2012. As a part of Macworld | iWorld’s first ever Film Event, Theatrics will lift the curtain on the inner workings of Mass Participation TV and film a live segment for the world’s first Mass Participation TV series, “Beckinfield.”

Celebrity Guest Judge, Jonathan Frakes, will be in-person on the main stage to announce his pick for the Ultimate Online Audition Contest winner who will take away $10,000, a trip for two to Hollywood and the title of first Mass Participation TV Star. In addition, a special segment of "Beckinfield" will be a filmed live as a part of Frakes’ guest appearances in the series, with the Macworld audience asked to join in on the story and play the part of the Beckinfield residents.
Theatrics’ Mass Participation TV series “Beckinfield” is the only social TV experience where anyone can create a character and play a part in a professional plot driven show. The Theatrics technology enables actors from every skill level to easily join in the fiction, showcase their skills, or just have fun with acting and video making.
Frakes joined up with Theatrics to play the role of Dylan Marks, Beckinfield’s celebrity director holding auditions for an in-world play. The contest, which started on November 20, is still in progress at theatrics.com where actors from across the country are uploading videos to show off their star quality. The Ultimate Online Audition Contest closes January 21, with the live announcement of the Grand Prize Winner on the Macworld | iWorld main stage at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27.
Macworld | iWorld takes place January 26 – January 28, 2012, at the Moscone Center – West Hall in San Francisco. This year Macworld | iWorld will be premiering their first ever Film Event highlighting “Great Storytelling through Apple Technology.” Theatrics invites event attendees to come be a part of the live filming with Jonathan Frakes, as well as create their own character on theatrics.com and tell the story through their own perspective.
