Four Roetzel Attorneys Named among Top 100 Ohio Super Lawyers; Two Named among Top 50 Women Super Lawyers in Ohio

AKRON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Roetzel is pleased to announce that five of its attorneys, named on Super Lawyers magazine’s 2012 list of “Ohio Super Lawyers,” have received special recognition as “Top” lawyers in Ohio. Anna Carulas, Stephen Funk, Erika Haupt, Ronald Kopp and Brian Moore were named Top Ohio lawyers in several categories.

Four Roetzel attorneys were recognized among the Top 100 Ohio Super Lawyers 2012; two were named to the Top 50 Women Ohio Super Lawyers 2012 list; and all five received additional recognition within their cities.

Anna Carulas was selected in each of the following categories: Top 100 Ohio lawyers; Top 50 women lawyers in Ohio; Top 50 Cleveland area lawyers; and Top 25 women lawyers in the Cleveland area. Ms. Carulas also received special recognition as one of the Top 5 Cleveland lawyers. Her practice focuses on the defense of doctors and hospitals in medical negligence lawsuits. She serves as Practice Group Manager of Roetzel's Medical Defense Group.

Stephen Funk was named to the Top 100 Ohio lawyers and the Top 50 Cleveland area lawyers lists. Mr. Funk focuses his practice on business and public law litigation, appellate law, constitutional law, and land use and zoning law. He is also certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in appellate law and has argued a number of high profile cases before the Ohio Supreme Court.

Erika Haupt was selected as one of the Top 50 women lawyers in Ohio and as one of the Top 25 women lawyers in the Columbus area. Her practice focuses on wealth transfer and estate planning matters, including business succession planning and all aspects of tax and business planning for owners of closely held businesses. Ms. Haupt also counsels clients on general corporate and tax matters; estate and trust administration; fiduciary litigation; issues relating to tax-exempt organizations; and the drafting and negotiation of premarital agreements.

Ronald Kopp was named to the Top 100 Ohio lawyers and the Top 50 Cleveland area lawyers lists. Mr. Kopp practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, representing numerous large and middle-market clients. He has represented clients in shareholder and partnership disputes, legal malpractice, fraud, breach of contract, and patent and trademark litigation. He also has represented media clients in matters pertaining to libel and invasion of privacy.

Brian Moore was selected as one of the Top 100 Ohio lawyers and as one of the Top 50 Cleveland area lawyers. Mr. Moore is the Practice Manager of Roetzel’s Real Estate, Banking & Finance group.
