BOSTON--()--News Facts
- PROACTIS, the Spend Control and eProcurement specialist, today announced Control Components, Inc. (CCI) has completed a global implementation of the PROACTIS eProcurement solution to achieve control, compliance and visibility across the purchase-to-pay process.
- CCI is a global provider of severe service control valve solutions used in the power industry, oil and gas industry, and pulp and paper plants globally. With headquarters in California, CCI has sales and services offices with direct employees located in 15 countries, and has representatives in over 60 other countries.
- Like many companies that have grown greatly over time, CCI found itself with widely disparate information management systems across the company, and recognized the need for a global Spend Control and eProcurement framework that would institute consistent authorization controls, policy and regulatory compliance.
- The PROACTIS eProcurement solution is renowned for its simple and rapid deployment whilst being able to be tailored to the needs of the business. PROACTIS was initially piloted at CCI’s headquarters, before being deployed across 22 locations in 14 countries within nine months.
- In addition to providing multi-currency, multi-language and multi-tax handling capabilities, PROACTIS provides CCI with the flexibility to manage workflow and other variations across its many different local organizations, while maintaining a common global framework of polices and controls.
- Although Accounts Payable functions are decentralized and use a variety of different financial systems, each country now uses PROACTIS as the basis for 3-way matching of incoming invoices before authorizing payment.
- PROACTIS also provides visibility of the global supplier base across spend categories, as well as transaction details of what is being bought from each supplier. CCI is using this data to rationalize the supplier base and leverage their global buying power, which over time will enable them to reduce costs further.

- Cosmina Soaita, CCI Global Supply Chain Manager for Indirect Spend said “Before PROACTIS, operations in each country had their own approach to selecting suppliers, approving purchases, and authorizing payments. And we had no real visibility at the corporate level. Now, with PROACTIS in place, it’s a whole different story – we have consistent compliance with corporate policies around the world, visibility of all global activity, and a growing repository of purchase history that we are using to take a more global approach to procurement.”
