Linkables Go Mobile

mphoria Partnership Marks Card Linked Offer Industry’s First Mobile Web Deployment, CardStar Mobile App the First to Feature Linkables

BOSTON--()--Linkable Networks, a leader in card linked offer technology, today announced that consumers can now experience Linkables on-the-go via a new partnership with mphoria, an emerging mobile and social merchandising platform. This agreement will transform retail deals available on the mobile web and via mobile apps into linkable offers. The company also announced that CardStar, Inc will be the first mobile app to feature Linkables. Both partnerships mark the launch of the Linkables mobile API and the first mobile deployment for the card linked offer industry. Now any type of restaurant, service provider, retailer or brand may capitalize on card linked offers in a mobile environment.

“Going mobile couldn’t come at a better time, fresh off the launch of our Linkables platform and with growing consumer demand for savings throughout the shopping experience,” said Tom Burgess, CEO of Linkable Networks. “Consumers are increasingly using their smartphones to shop and adopting mobile platforms to seek out savings. Our partnership with mphoria and CardStar will enable those savvy shoppers to experience modern digital coupons at their fingertips and link them to their existing credit or debit card. Shoppers should be on the lookout for the Linkables logo in mobile ads to add new savings to their digital wallets.”

Introduced publically in November 2011, Linkables (watch video) give consumers a simple and seamless savings experience by offering the ability to link retail discounts seen in banner, text, video, mobile, TV and print ads directly to their credit or debit card of choice, with the savings automatically posted back to that card. Consumers can currently see Link-enabled ads across a variety of media properties while browsing online.

“Through the Linkables partnership, we are enabling retailers to deliver a new type of offer to mphoria’s mobile app network,” said Bill May, President, mphoria. “This is just another example of how we are empowering companies to reach more mobile shoppers.” Several of the top retailers that currently provide content to mphoria's database include Sephora, Omaha Steaks and Gamestop. The company intends to offer Linkables functionality to current partners as well as additional businesses looking to expand their mobile merchandising capabilities.

CardStar, a mobile app developer perpetuating the use of loyalty cards and mobile coupons, will integrate Linkables into their mobile app to give consumers a new level of convenience. CardStar brands and retailers span a wide range of products and categories from food and beverage to sporting goods to apparel. Commented Andrew Miller, CEO, CardStar: “CardStar is committed to helping shoppers stay connected to their favorite merchants, and this is a new and innovative way to do that. Our goal is to make sure shoppers never miss out on discounts and rewards from their favorite retailers, so we are excited to embark upon a partnership with Linkable Networks to bring that vision to life.”

The mobile launch of Linkables is just one of the many developments and improvements that Linkable Networks has planned for 2012. The company anticipates launching the MyLinkables.com mobile app for iOS and Android as well as its Social API in Q1 2012.
