RALEIGH, N.C. & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--rPath, the application engine provider for the private cloud, today announces that it has expanded its operations with the opening of a Northeast office in Waltham, Mass. and by naming 20-year software industry veteran, Doug May, as its newly appointed vice president of worldwide sales. In this capacity, May will help drive the company’s global sales efforts for its rPath Cloud Engine, new software that allows cloud technology vendors and managed service providers (MSPs) to deliver critical applications with consistency, reliability and speed.

With more than 20 years of technology sales experience, May brings to his new role deep expertise in the cloud market and an ability to consistently surpass revenue goals, ramp sales organizations for growth, and develop repeatable sales models. Before joining rPath, May was northeast regional sales manager for BMC, a world leader in business service management (BSM) software, where he outperformed sales objectives and led a team that serviced a variety of high-profile clients, including Verizon, MetLife, Citi, Merck, Deutsche Bank, AIG, and Bank of America.
