ChemAxon Adds Document Viewer for PDF Files to chemicalize.org

Expanding public chemistry resource now exceeds 185,000 unique compounds

Researchers can now highlight and display chemicals mentioned in text PDFs such as patents and scientific papers, explore their properties and download as SD files for further study.

Used by scientists worldwide, chemicalize.org identifies chemical names (SMILES, InChI, traditional and IUPAC names) on websites, in text and now PDF files, converting them to 2D structures. Researchers can also calculate and explore a range of structure-based properties, search by structure in the ever expanding chemicalize.org knowledge-base, and search the internet to find all websites citing a particular chemical structure.

All structures found on webpages visited by chemicalize.org users are stored and can be queried using substructure, similarity and exact structure searches. Alternatively, users can add chemistry to a Google search, including querying for multiple structures and combining chemical names with non-chemical text.

chemicalize.org is an open access chemical structure miner and web search engine powered by ChemAxon technology, including Marvin for structure visualization and query building, structure-based prediction tools, and JChem Web Services for searching. The service is freely available to all.
