Sizzler® to Honor Veterans, Active-Duty Personnel with Special Veterans Day Discount

Partnership with Heinz Ketchup® to Raise Awareness and Money for Wounded Warrior Project™

CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Friday, November 11, veterans and active-duty military personnel will receive a complimentary six-ounce steak entrée with the purchase of a second six-ounce steak entrée at participating Sizzler restaurants. Service personnel dining alone will be given a 50 percent discount on a six-ounce steak entrée.

By using a smart phone to scan a Quick Response (QR) code on special edition Heinz Ketchup bottles, guests will be able to send a personalized thank you card to a veteran or active duty service member. Heinz will donate $0.57 for each thank you card received or “like” on the Heinz Ketchup Facebook page, up to $200,000.

The special edition Heinz Ketchup bottles will be available in restaurants through December.

Service members are asked to provide proof of service, such as an active or retired military ID card. The discount is available only when dining in on November 11, 2011.
