Life Science Executives Converging on Washington, DC for The Life Science Industry Awards

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The companies making the tools of science don’t often get the same level of attention as the big drug companies and world class research centers they support.

That will change on November 15, 2011 at a 6:30PM at the Grand Hyatt Washington when the Finalists and Winners of the 2011 Life Science Industry Awards® will be announced. Nearly 200 executives from companies large and small are expected to attend the lavish event saluting stars of the industry.

As expected, industry giants such as Bio-Rad (NYSE: BIO), GE Healthcare (NYSE: GE), Life Technologies (NasdaqGS: LIFE), Sigma-Aldrich (NasdaqGS: SIAL) and Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE: TMO) made a strong showing as nominated companies. However, specialty suppliers such as Abcam (LSE: ABC.L ), Cell Signaling Technology and STEMCELL Technologies held their own in the nominations as well. Following Dr. Luchini’s remarks, the Finalists and Winners in each product and service category will be revealed. The event will conclude at 9:30PM.
