In this new position for the firm, Burg will be responsible for overseeing all operations, human resources and information technology for the Chicago headquarters and eight branch offices in the region. Burg also will partner with branch managers to bring improved training and support to the firm’s sales associates and financial planners.

Burg is a former vice president and business manager at Merrill Lynch, where she spent 16 years leading programs to improve efficiencies and operations at the firm’s Oakbrook, Ill., Minneapolis and Milwaukee offices. She also served as the chairperson for the Merrill Lynch National Advisory Council to senior management, representing her fellow administrative, business and client relationship managers. She is a resident of Naperville, Ill.
