What: |
The North Carolina Technology Association will offer two opportunities for the technology and business sector to connect with North Carolina’s public officials when it hosts Congressional Briefings in the Triangle and Charlotte. Congressional representatives will discuss key issues that affect the state’s technology industry, including taxes, regulations, R&D, STEM/education, workforce and others. The discussions will also include an audience Q&A session. | ||||
| Featured guests at the Charlotte event include U.S. Representatives, Larry Kissell (NC-8), Sue Myrick (NC-9), and Mel Watt (NC-12). The Charlotte briefing is hosted by AT&T and sponsored by Logical Advantage. The Triangle event will feature U.S. Representatives Renee Ellmers (NC-2), Brad Miller (NC-13), and David Price (NC-4). The Triangle briefing is hosted by Research Triangle Foundation and sponsored by Cisco. | |||||

| Both briefings are special events of NCTA’s Government Affairs Council, a NCTA group comprised of members interested in state legislative or federal issues as they pertain to their company or the economic landscape in North Carolina. The briefings are open to NCTA members only. |
