Senior Lifestyle Corporation Acquires Two Woodmark Communities

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Senior Lifestyle Corporation continues to expand its portfolio, most recently adding two established retirement communities in the Southwest.

Affiliates of Senior Lifestyle and AEW Capital Management, L.P. have acquired The Woodmark of Sun City in Arizona and The Woodmark of Uptown in Albuquerque, N.M. With the new additions, Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s ownership and management portfolio has grown to more than 70 seniors housing communities across the country. AEW acquired the property on behalf of AEW Senior Housing Investors, L.P.

The Woodmark of Sun City and The Woodmark of Uptown offer independent and assisted living as well as memory care. Opened in 2000, the Sun City community has 133 apartments. The Woodmark of Uptown, which opened in 1998, has 117 apartments. Both communities feature full-service dining programs, private dining rooms, game rooms, a clubhouse, salon, spa, and fitness center.
