MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--Kaazing, the leading enabler of the Living Web, today announced a version of its platform targeted at small and medium sized businesses as well as enterprise departments that would like to use the web or mobile devices to run real-time applications simply, cost effectively and efficiently. The Kaazing platform enables very high performance web communications between two endpoints in real time and provides significant advantages for applications in areas as diverse as gaming, advertising, transportation, ecommerce and medical technology.
“Our new subscription pricing model addresses that.”
“In addition to the array of large enterprises using our platform on an enterprise-wide basis, we have been asked by small- and medium-sized companies to offer the Kaazing platform on a more cost flexible basis to enable the benefits of a highly efficient web infrastructure in more bite-sized portions,” said Jonas Jacobi, founder and CEO of Kaazing. “Our new subscription pricing model addresses that.”
Unlike the traditional web architecture that was created in the early 1990’s, the Kaazing platform eliminates the “walkie-talky” (or “polling”) approach to web communications and enables simultaneous two-way communications of data over the web. With the Kaazing platform, companies can remove the constraints and limitations imposed by the legacy web architecture that has been needed up till now.
One Kaazing customer, Corsoft, wants to allow teachers to interact directly with multiple students in real-time over the web. This would replace remote learning solutions that are, for the most part, time delayed. To accomplish this, the company is using the Kaazing platform. With Kaazing, teachers can observe students’ progress as they work through a problem, whether the student is working on a browser or a mobile device such as a tablet. Corsoft sees this real-time interaction as having substantial benefit for education as well as many other markets: "Our goal is to make it possible for teachers, medical professionals, and many others to benefit from real-time, yet secure communications all over the world,” said Chirag Patel, CTO, Corsoft Corporation. “The Kaazing platform really makes the web come alive and changes the way people communicate. Our customers can now experience the dynamic nature of their applications without requiring a vast investment in web infrastructure on our part.”
The new service is available immediately at kaazing.com/store and offers licenses from 100 to 1,000 concurrent users in HTML5, JMS, XMPP and AMQP versions of the Kaazing Platform. Customers who require capacity in excess of 1,000 connections can purchase products directly from Kaazing.
