SEOUL, South Korea--()--The fourth annual “Analog Semiconductor Leaders’ Forum” will take place at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) on October 13, 2011 (Thursday) from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Held during the i-SEDEX(www.sedex.org) trade show (Oct. 12-14) and hosted by Dongbu HiTek, this year’s Forum has adopted “High Performance Analog ICs: Key Enabler of Real World Applications” for its central theme.
“Thanks to the continuing stream of new products striving for differentiation, the market growth of the analog IC segment exceeds the chip industry as a whole”
“Thanks to the continuing stream of new products striving for differentiation, the market growth of the analog IC segment exceeds the chip industry as a whole,” reflected Yong-in Park, Dongbu HiTek CEO. He noted that while such products typically deploy some form of digital microprocessor or DSP as the computational engine, they almost always derive their 'personality' – i.e., their differentiating features – from the use of high performance analog design and processing technologies.
“We are pleased to host for the fourth consecutive year this gathering of analog industry authorities from around the globe,” said Mr. Park. “Our roster of distinguished speakers promises to provide valuable insights into high-performance analog technology trends as well as the future outlook for analog growth markets.”
Following welcoming and congratulatory remarks by the Ministry of Knowledge & Economy for the Republic of Korea, analog market trends will be reviewed by Jim Feldhan, president of SEMICO, in his presentation, “Market Outlook: Innovation, Specialization, and Performance Continues to Drive Semiconductors.”
Analog experts from industry and academia will review the latest high-performance analog technology trends. This year’s topics and speakers are as follows:
“Systems on a Chip are for Real: Driving Opportunities for Analog/RF
Design”
Pieter Vorenkamp, SVP of Broadcom
“Technologies & Applications for the Terahertz Band -- The Last
Frontier”
Thomas Lee, Professor of Stanford University
“Delta Sigma ADC and DAC for Hi-Fi Audio, and Next Trend”
Koichi
Hamashita, CTO of Asahi Kasei Microdevices
“High Performance Technologies for an Analog-Centric World”
Lou
N. Hutter, SVP of Dongbu HiTek
While there is no charge to attend the Forum, seating is limited. Accordingly, those wishing to attend are urged to pre-register early online at Dongbu HiTek web site (www.dongbuhitek.com)
