Big G Cereals Bring Spooktacular Fun to Breakfast for a Limited Time with Monsters Cereals

Count Chocula®, Franken Berry® and Boo Berry® Cereals Return Exclusively for Halloween

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Three of America’s most delicious monsters, Count Chocula®, Franken Berry® and Boo Berry®, have made a highly anticipated return to grocery shelves for a limited time. Big G Monster Cereals bring a wave of nostalgia to loyal fans who have enjoyed the seasonal cereals for more than 40 years. Each vintage cereal will be available at retailers nationwide while supplies last.

“Big G Monsters Cereals are a celebrated Halloween tradition for families around the country,” said Susanne Prucha, marketing manager with General Mills. “Many parents fondly remember when Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry cereals were first released and can connect with their kids through the playful characters and great taste.”

Considered by some to be the most popular of the three monsters, Count Chocula is a vampire who loves chocolate and is well recognized for his tagline, “I vant to eat your cereal!” First introduced in 1971, Count Chocula cereal combines chocolaty cereal made with whole grain corn and colorful marshmallow shapes.

Franken Berry is a cuddly, pink version of the Frankenstein monster who was introduced shortly after Count Chocula. This ghoul still wears the same clothes as when he was first created in 1971. Franken Berry cereal combines delicious strawberry-flavored cereal made with whole grain corn and colorful marshmallow shapes.

The youngest of the three monsters is Boo Berry, who was first introduced in 1973 as a blue ghost with a purple tie and hat. Boo Berry cereal has monstrous blueberry flavor by combining blueberry-flavored frosted cereal and colorful marshmallow shapes. This cereal is made with whole grain corn.

Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry cereals are nutritious breakfast choices and provide a good source of whole grain, calcium, and nine essential vitamins and minerals. Consumers can feel good about enjoying these monster-themed cereals as they also have no cholesterol or saturated fat.
