Wells Fargo Insurance Services Names Terri G. Edwards, CPHRM National Healthcare Industry Practice Leader

Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager to manage business development for healthcare segment

CHICAGO--()--Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, Inc. – part of Wells Fargo & Company - has named Theresa G. (Terri) Edwards national healthcare industry practice leader. In her role, she will lead business development for the healthcare segment, specifically focusing on property and casualty and employee benefits. Based in North Carolina, Edwards will continue to report to Keith Burkhardt, executive vice president and regional managing director, Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services’ National Healthcare Group provides coverages, financial products, and services to medical professional companies. The group works with customers to identify risks and designs cost-effective solution to reduce liability and maximize a company’s protection.

As demand for streamlined and cost-efficient insurance solutions increases, Edwards will leverage cross-sell initiatives to serve the insurance needs of existing Wells Fargo customers. Wells Fargo Insurance Services has a strong focus on cross-selling to the bank’s wide customer base. Today, 30% of new business comes from cross-sell, with goals to increase it to 50% in the next three years.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Edwards served as the director of the healthcare practice for USI Insurance. She also was the healthcare practice leader for Alexander & Alexander/ Aon Risk Services. Dedicating her career to healthcare clients, Edwards’ has assisted various groups with their insurance programs including managed care organizations, multi-hospital systems, free-standing hospitals, out-patient ambulatory care facilities, physicians, primary health care and management service organization groups. She has designed and implemented conventional insurance programs, alternative risk financing, and risk management programs. Edwards earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.
