SEATTLE--()--ClearPoint Financial Solutions (dba ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions) has received a grant for $359,287 from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission to support its outreach and counseling efforts to aid financially-distressed homeowners in the state of Washington.
“We are so fortunate to have the resources to add more counselors in our state to help victims of the foreclosure crisis. ClearPoint and our other counseling partners provide a wonderful service for distressed homeowners and we need them to properly implement the new Foreclosure Fairness Act”
As a result of this grant, over 1,400 Washington homeowners will receive mortgage default counseling conducted by a National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC)-certified credit and housing counselor. This funding will also be used to increase counseling staff in support of services offered through the Washington State Foreclosure Fairness Act Mediation Program, which took effect Friday, July 22. In order to access these free services, Washington state residents are encouraged to call toll-free 877.877.1995 to schedule a foreclosure mitigation counseling session.
