Littelfuse Introduces SP4061 and SP4062 Series TVS Diode Arrays (SPA™ Family) for Superior Lightning and ESD Protection for High Speed Ethernet Ports

The two newest members of the Littelfuse TVS Diode Arrays (SPATM Family) portfolio offer the ultimate low capacitance ESD and transient surge protection with superb clamping performance

CHICAGO--()--Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ:LFUS), today announced the addition of the SP4061 and SP4062 Series to its expanding TVS Diode Arrays ( SPATM Family) of low capacitance ESD and surge protection devices.

The SP4061 and SP4062 Series are specially designed to protect high speed I/O and high speed ports such as 10/100/1000 Ethernet. They are particularly suitable for circuit protection on telecom and networking devices such as Ethernet, Consumer Premise Equipment (CPE), PBX Systems, VoIP Phones, set-top boxes and similar equipment. The robust surge protection they provide helps equipment manufacturers comply with regulatory standards such as GR-1089, ITU, and YD/T, extending equipment life and reliability.

The new SP4061 and SP062 Series are RoHS compliant and comply with the following standards:

  • ESD, IEC61000-4-2, ±30kV (contact), ±30kV (air)
  • EFT, IEC61000-4-5, 40A (tp=5/50ns)
  • Lightning, IEC61000-4-5, 20A (tp=8/20μs)

In addition to superior ESD protection (±30kV, contact) and surge capability (20A, 8/20μs), the SP4061 and SP4062 Series TVS Diode Arrays offer a very low capacitive loading of 3.5 pF with best-in-class clamping performance as a result of their low dynamic resistance (just 0.35Ω for SP4061 and 0.25Ω for SP4062). Overall, these features minimize signal degradation and distortion and make these devices ideal for circuit protection in high-speed signal pins.
