Utah.Gov Introduces Connect Plus for Tablets

Expanding Government and Citizen Information Exchange

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Utah.Gov, the official website of the State of Utah, launches an innovative website designed specifically for tablet devices. Connect Plus, found at connectplus.utah.gov, allows seamless navigation through an aggregated feed of state news, social media lists, Utah blogs, and online services. Citizens can easily connect to over 289 state Twitter feeds, find over 50 State Facebook pages, and access over 30 State YouTube channels with an original layout and touch experience. Connect Plus is based on the award-winning Connect Portal, connect.utah.gov, introduced for the desktop in 2009.

“We are excited to offer Connect Plus for a more modern way of viewing Utah government news.”

“Utah.Gov continually looks to citizens for feedback and information. In the State of Utah it’s our belief that all government information and services should be easily available and accessible to citizens. Our newly enhanced Connect Plus portal expands the depth of information that citizens can access on their tablet devices,” said Stephen Fletcher, Utah State Chief Information Officer. “We are excited to offer Connect Plus for a more modern way of viewing Utah government news.”

The new iPad layout and navigation allows tablet users an upgrade from the desktop experience, maintaining the highest service and functionality, regardless of device.
