Macquarie Group Adds to Financial Sponsors Group with Appointment of William Baumgart

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Macquarie Group (Macquarie) (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY) today announced that William Baumgart joined Macquarie Capital as a Managing Director in its Financial Sponsors Group effective August 1, 2011. He is based in Macquarie’s New York office.

Mr. Baumgart joins Macquarie with more than 17 years of investment banking experience working with Financial Sponsors. Most recently, he served as head of the Financial Sponsors Group at Citadel Securities. Prior to his role at Citadel, he was a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsor Group at UBS and an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
