  • Business Online™ brings Internet banking, transaction management and multiple transfer capabilities together in one location
  • Solution offers corporate and small business banking customers robust cash management features and an intuitive look and feel

BROOKFIELD, Wis.--()--Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced the release of Business Online, a new solution based on eCorp™ from Fiserv that provides community and regional financial institutions access to the latest online banking innovations for their corporate and small business banking customers. Business Online offers new features and capabilities, including an intuitive landing page that gives business customers access to the most commonly used account information and functionality with just a few clicks.

The new product uses eCorp as its foundation, a business Internet banking solution used by hundreds of the nation’s financial institutions since its introduction in 2002. Many new features were developed following extensive primary research that also helped shape Retail Online™, an advanced consumer solution also recently released by Fiserv. Other features incorporated into Business Online were inspired by small business owners and business banking clients, as well as innovations from across the family of Fiserv business banking solutions.

Business Online is now available for Fiserv clients running on the Premier® bank platform, and will be rolled out to additional bank platforms beginning with Cleartouch® and Precision™ in Fall 2011. Fiserv offers corporate and business banking solutions designed for all sizes of financial institutions, including Corillian® Business Online and Banklink® Cash Management.

“The all-new Business Online matches the increasing sophistication of the websites our clients’ corporate customers use every day. The service gives customers what they’re looking for – a personalized, highly functional online banking experience,” said Jamie Deterding, general manager, Customer & Channel Management, Bank Solutions at Fiserv. “By helping businesses manage their finances more efficiently, financial institutions can drive additional online banking use and gain another competitive advantage in the cash management market.”

The solution’s many premium features were based, in part, on an in-depth ethnographic study of online banking users that showed customers want an immediate and meaningful overview of their financial status, a single sign-on to online banking and bill pay, and the ability to view account balances at a glance. Business Online delivers with an interactive Overview page, where customers can view real-time account balances, review and submit decisions on pending transactions, make quick transfers between internal and external accounts, and more. The user-friendly page provides convenient access to the accounts and functionality the customer uses most, all on one page and with minimal clicks.

“Today, 60 percent of small businesses and 82 percent of middle market companies use online banking for their business,” according to Donna Arce, Business Internet Banking Program Director, Barlow Research Associates, Inc. “Online banking is a requirement to do business with this segment, and you need to do it well.”

With Business Online’s redesigned menu and page layout options, financial institutions can customize the way information is displayed on the Overview page, and enhanced navigation menu options help business customers quickly and easily find the information and functionality they need. Every page can be tailored to match a financial institution’s corporate brand and website.

From the Overview page, Business Online’s new Quick Launch section provides easy access to a customer’s most commonly used applications, including ACH Manager, Wire Manager, and CheckFree® RXP® from Fiserv. A single sign-on means that customers no longer have to log out of their online account to access the many cash management functions they use on a day-to-day basis, providing a seamless online banking experience.

For banks that license Multibank Reporting, activity from all accounts, including those held at other financial institutions, is reported through one comprehensive system. A business’s finances are conveniently illustrated in easy-to-read charts, graphs and printable worksheets, and cash position balances from the last 30 days are also easily viewed. Cash position worksheets enhance business planning capabilities: by adding any known transactions to a current balance, customers can use the worksheets to forecast future balances.

In addition to in-depth market research, the enhancements to Business Online are based on a Fiserv-wide design process that incorporated user-experience elements from Retail Online, Corillian Online, Banklink Cash Management and other online solutions from Fiserv. Fiserv was able to apply the best ideas from usability and design groups throughout the organization, as well as industry-wide best practices and research.
