Swift Exchange Appoints Don Codling as Head of Cyber Security

Former FBI Division Chief Liaison Officer Joins Loyalty Rewards Innovator

A former Supervisory Special Agent, Unit Chief and DHS National Cyber Security Division Chief Liaison officer from the FBI’s Cyber Division in Washington, D.C., Codling joins Swift Exchange after 23 years of service in the FBI.

As Chief Security Officer, Mr. Codling will be responsible for network security, protocol and policies to protect Swift Exchange and its user community from all manner of attacks and breaches. He will help design protocols to shield all sensitive or confidential company information, customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and data storage facilities through preventive monitoring, fraud detection and fraud resolution. Codling will take a lead role in implementing state-of-the-art security standards for constituent groups, act as spokesman on related matters and lead training related to security protocol and standards.

In a related development, Codling will be working with Richard Postrel, Swift Exchange founder, CEO and chief inventor, to establish an advanced cyber security working group designed to identify, thwart and destroy threats in the cyber environment.

Codling joins Swift Exchange with a wealth of experience as the lead investigator or supervisor on numerous cases including major domestic and international criminal and cyber crime, counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence cases as well as long-term undercover operations. He has served as chairman of an international cyber crime working group comprising the heads of the cyber investigative departments of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Following service in the United States Marine Corps, Codling received his BS in Civil Engineering from Norwich University. Before joining the FBI, he was an engineer for a telecommunications firm in Dallas. His domestic postings in the FBI have been in San Diego, Los Angeles, Dallas and Washington DC.
