STG Lands HUD OIG Support Contract

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As part of a $7 million award, STG, Inc. (STG) will be responsible for the development, deployment and operation of outsourced network infrastructure and desktop support for the Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General (HUD OIG). This includes HUD OIG headquarters, all HUD OIG field offices and OIG employees in the field.

HUD OIG is committed to its statutory mission of detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse and promoting the effectiveness and efficiency of government operations. Operating independently from HUD, the Office of Investigation (OI) looks into potential regulatory violations pertaining to HUD programs, employees and recipients of HUD funds. To ensure that objectivity is maintained, HUD OIG reports directly to the Secretary and Congress and has a completely separate budget authority from that of HUD.
