StoneTurn Group Announces Opening of Washington, DC Office

WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StoneTurn Group, a firm specializing in forensic accounting, computer forensics, intellectual property, dispute consulting and antifraud and corruption consulting, today announced the opening of its Washington, DC office, which also coincides with the opening of its New York, NY office.

Joining the San Francisco, Houston, Boston, Chicago, Austin and London offices, the new Washington, DC and New York offices will offer forensic accounting, computer forensics, litigation support services and anti-fraud and corruption consulting services to attorneys and their clients throughout the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

StoneTurn also announced today that Deirdre Flaherty, a founding partner of the firm, who practices in the forensic accounting and complex business litigation practices, has relocated to Washington to lead the office. “This market is an important one for our firm. Deirdre Flaherty has spent more than 20 years providing financial advisory services to clients in the areas of forensic accounting and complex business litigation support.

Prior to co-founding StoneTurn in 2004, Deirdre was with a “Big 4” accounting firm where she also spent significant time in the National Office working on incorporating forensic accounting methodologies into the firm’s audit approach in response to SAS 99 and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Deirdre has been involved in a variety of investigations working on behalf of Special Committees formed by the Board of Directors and/or senior management. She has performed several assessments of internal control structures and breakdowns, often performed in connection to transaction activities.
