Optimized with patented core technology, this new generation of acoustic drywall products is four times easier to score and snap than other soundproofing drywall brands, offering a lower total installed cost, sound-reducing fire-rated Type X drywall solution. QuietRock ES Mold Resistant incorporates abrasion resistant paper with mold resistant treatment and new mold resistant core, making it ideal for mold-sensitive applications requiring high acoustic performance such as hospitals, schools, and government, projects. In independent mold resistance tests conducted by The MicroStar Lab, Ltd., using ASTM method D3273, QuietRock ES Mold Resistant received the highest ASTM rating of 10.
