(AppSecInc), the leading provider of database security, risk and compliance solutions (SRC) for the enterprise, today announced that Jack Hembrough has rejoined the company as its president and chief executive officer and member of its board of directors. Hembrough, who was most recently the chief executive officer of confidential messaging service vendor, VaporStream, Inc., brings more than thirty years of management, sales and operations experience in the IT security industry to AppSecInc.

Hembrough is a co-founder of AppSecInc and previously served as president and CEO from the company’s inception until 2008. During his initial tenure, Jack guided AppSecInc to a leadership position in the database vulnerability assessment and database activity monitoring sectors.

Before serving as CEO of VaporStream, Hembrough held the position of executive vice president for desktop virtualization and cloud computing start-up, Leostream Corporation where he led the organization’s sales and marketing functions. Previously he was the senior vice president of sales for Authentica and SafeNet. He was also one of the first employees of Raptor Systems where he built their global sales channel and created Raptor's European organization.
