Seven Shaner Hotels’ Properties Earn TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Officials of Shaner Hotels, a developer/owner/operator that currently owns and manages more than 30 hotels, today announced that seven of the company’s hotels received the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. The awards follow shortly after eight Shaner-managed hotels received awards for operating excellence from Marriott International, Inc.

TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence program, initiated in 2010, honors highly rated lodging businesses, based on travelers’ reviews. Award criteria include a guest satisfaction score of 4.0 or more out of a possible 5.0; high frequency and quality of reviews; and successful communication from the hotel to travelers. Award-winning hotels are indicated by a digital recognition badge displayed on their website.

Durham Marriott City Center—In the heart of downtown Durham, at 201 Foster Street, in N.C., the 188-room hotel is connected to the 44,000 square foot Durham Convention Center and adjacent to the Carolina Theatre. Hotel recently completed a $5 million renovation of all guest rooms and public spaces, including the addition of a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Crowne Plaza Hotel Paramus—The 120-room hotel is located at 601 From Road, in the heart of Paramus, N.J., across from Paramus Park Mall and near Westfield Garden State Plaza and a New Jersey transit bus stop, which can take guests into New York City.
Courtyard Jacksonville Northeast/Kendall Town—Located at 9815 Lantern Street, in Jacksonville, the 93-room, AAA Three Diamond Award recipient is near the Mayo Clinic, St. Lukes Hospital, University of North Florida and Jacksonville University.
Hampton Inn & Suites Miami–South/Homestead—Located at 2855 N.E. 9th Street, in Homestead, Fla., near Biscayne National Park, the 126-room hotel is convenient to downtown Miami.
Fairfield Inn & Suites St. Augustine I-95—At 305 Prime Outlet Blvd, near Premium Outlets and the historic downtown area, the 54-room property also earned an AAA Three Diamond ranking.
Courtyard Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront—Located at 1617 N. First Street, in Jacksonville Beach, the 140-room, AAA Three Diamond Award winner also is recognized as a “Green Lodging Property” and is the Most Sea Turtle Eco-Friendly Hotel in Florida.
