LMI Wins $10 Million Subcontract to Help GSA Streamline Billing Processes

San Antonio-based Work Will Help Support Military Community

MCLEAN, Va.--()--LMI has been awarded a $10 million subcontract under Grubb & Ellis Company to support the General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) Public Buildings Service (PBS) in improving the accuracy of its rent billing through an independent third-party review. The work, to be performed by a review team located in San Antonio, will ensure accuracy by reviewing and validating lease terms and billing elements.

To complete the contracted work, LMI will continue the organization’s long-standing support of the military by assembling a team that draws heavily from San Antonio’s retired military personnel and military spouses.

“This group of highly skilled professionals, particularly military spouses, is often underserved during the hiring process,” said LMI Executive Vice President William B. Moore. “We believe by reaching out to this population of the military community in San Antonio, LMI is not only helping grow the local economy, but gaining a highly qualified team of individuals to support our mission for our federal clients.”

The contracted work takes advantage of LMI’s experience supporting PBS by combining it with Grubb & Ellis’s private-sector expertise in managing the accuracy and timeliness of invoice processes. LMI has already spent several years supporting PBS, ensuring the accuracy of its financial accounts, including reviewing and validating rental revenue terms, as well as advancing lease reform and rewriting PBS’s leasing desk guide.

LMI recently began an expansion of its Southwest Region headquarters in San Antonio in response to the growing San Antonio operations of long-standing clients in the military services and federal government.
