Concord Law School’s Small Business Practice LLM program will host a webinar featuring Richard L. Hermann, a seasoned legal career counselor and author of numerous law career books, who will provide advice on marketing a Small Business LLM to attract customers. Hermann, who has 30 years of experience, will provide perspective on what career opportunities the LLM could generate.
Hermann’s recent books include Managing Your Legal Career...Best Practices for Creating the Career You Want (ABA Publishing), and The Lawyer's Guide to Job Security: How to Keep Your Job--and Make the Most of It--in Good Times and Bad (Kaplan Publishing). He co-founded Federal Reports, Inc., the leading provider of legal career information in the U.S., and AttorneyJobs.com. Both businesses were later sold to Thomson Reuters. Hermann received his JD from Cornell Law School.
The Small Business Practice LL.M. program is designed for attorneys and recent law school graduates who want in-depth, practical knowledge of legal issues unique to small business. Courses are developed and taught by both practitioners and academicians. The coursework emphasizes issues that are especially important to start-up enterprises and small firms. With the practical, focused knowledge they receive and the credential they earn, graduates may be more competitive, and greatly expand the reach and quality of their legal services to small businesses.
