NEWTON, Mass.--()--Recombinant Data Corp., a healthcare data warehousing and clinical intelligence solutions provider, today announced that David Hardison, PhD and Gregg Capone have joined the company’s Senior Management team, better positioning Recombinant to meet the growing industry demand for the company’s sophisticated data integration and analytics solutions.
“it is critical that we continue to provide the highest level of performance and maintain our trust-based client relationships as we deliver meaningful technology solutions.”
“With our customer base doubling each year for the last three years, we are fortunate to bring recognized leaders like David and Gregg onto the Recombinant team,” said Peter Emerson, Recombinant’s Chief Executive Officer. “Their combined industry experience builds upon our expertise in the clinical/pharma space and strengthens our overall project delivery capabilities for healthcare and research clients.”
Hardison assumes the role of Managing Director of Health Sciences at Recombinant, focusing on strategic consulting and business development for life sciences companies and healthcare providers. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Chief Health Scientist at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a FORTUNE 500® company that provides technology and domain-specific solutions to government and commercial health customers. Hardison’s leadership and deep industry knowledge earned him membership on the SAIC Technical Fellows Council, reserved for those employees at the top of their field. Hardison also served as chairman of the Board of CDISC – the global standards organization for clinical and non-clinical research data. Prior to SAIC, Hardison held leadership positions at First Consulting Group, Carolina Medicorp (now Novant Health), Wheaton Franciscan Services, Quorum Health Resources, and Hospital Corporation of America.
“David’s experience working at the intersection of biopharmaceuticals, health care delivery, performance improvement, and information technology deepens our team and adds strong value to Recombinant’s clients as they implement end-to-end IT solutions,” said Emerson. “Having David based in the Southeast also helps us stay closer to customers we’ve recently added in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas.”
“Pharma companies, academic institutions and provider organizations are looking for new ways to leverage data to improve research productivity and patient care,” shared Hardison. “I am looking forward to contributing to Recombinant’s innovative approaches to these problems, including the use of open source solutions, which will provide our customers with a unique competitive advantage.”
Hardison is joined by Gregg Capone, who assumes the role of Managing Director of Services to oversee Recombinant’s delivery teams. Most recently, Capone was Senior Director of Account Management at NaviNet, America’s largest real-time healthcare communications network which securely links hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals and the nation’s leading plans and valued industry partners. As the relationship owner for several of NaviNet’s health plan clients, Capone marshaled and led cross-functional teams responsible for project delivery and client services. Capone also held senior roles at Edgewater Technology, one of the largest IT consulting firms in New England, where he managed large-scale technology integration projects.
“Gregg’s expertise in technology delivery, strategic planning, and operations optimization will enable Recombinant to maintain its strong track record of customer satisfaction as the number of clients and projects expands,” noted Emerson, “especially now that Recombinant has taken on more large-scale, statewide, national collaborative, and consortium-based projects.”
Capone acknowledged Recombinant’s high rate of growth and noted that “it is critical that we continue to provide the highest level of performance and maintain our trust-based client relationships as we deliver meaningful technology solutions.”
Emerson added that “Recombinant’s success can be traced back to its core values of pragmatism, effective communication and trust, and the fact that its core mission—to improve the quality of patient care and efficiency of medical research by delivering a reliable flow of clinical data and innovative software applications for clients—has not changed since the company’s inception in 2004.”
