Tilera incorporated hardware security engines from AuthenTec to achieve throughputs exceeding 80 Gigabits per second (Gbps) for protocols such as IPsec, SSL and MACsec.

Integrated into Tilera’s new System-On-a-Chip (SoC) processor is AuthenTec’s SafeXcel EIP-96 Packet Engine, EIP-154 for Public Key Acceleration and True Random Number Generation, EIP-46 for SNOW3G acceleration and EIP-06 for KASUMI acceleration. These hardware security engines greatly enhance the cryptographic capabilities of the TILE-Gx processors, a critical feature for secure communications and cloud-based computing.
