Analog Devices’ Educational Webcast “Digital to Analog Converter Fundamentals” Focuses on Data Conversion Design Considerations

Webcast broadcasts on May 11, 2011, and is second in three-part data conversion tutorial series.

NORWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), a world leader in semiconductors for high-performance signal processing applications, will broadcast its Digital to Analog Converter Fundamentals webcast on May 11, 2011, at 12:00 pm ET. This 60-minute webcast is the second installment of a three-part tutorial series and focuses on the conversion of analog electrical signals into digital signals, which can then be analyzed and manipulated by DSP, microcontrollers, and other embedded processors.

“Fundamentals of Designing with Semiconductors For Signal Processing Applications”

About “Digital to Analog Converter Fundamentals” Webcast

This webcast continues our three-part series focusing on the conversion of analog, electrical signals into and from digital signals. In this webcast we will present the fundamentals of the digital to analog converter (DAC), including basic DAC architectures, understanding DAC errors, how to read a DAC data sheet, how to choose the right DAC. Another session on the use of analog to digital converters (ADC) will follow in June.

Who Should Attend

Engineers and students new to the field, as well as those more experienced engineers looking for a refresher on converter specifications and selection, will find this webcast very useful.

The Presenter

David Kress, Director of Technical Marketing, Analog Devices, Inc. is a veteran analog applications engineer with over 30 years of experience in the industry.

Register for ADI's “Digital to Analog Converter Fundamentals” webcast, May 11, 12 noon ET at www.analog.com/PR-FUNDAC.

Fundamentals of Designing with Semiconductors For Signal Processing Applications Webcast Series From Analog Devices

Throughout 2011, Analog Devices is presenting the “Fundamentals of Designing with Semiconductors For Signal Processing Applications,” a monthly webcast series that guides participants through each stage of the basic signal chain, from amplifiers to data converters – those components that convert the analog electronic signal into a digital stream – then to the heart of many modern circuits, the digital processor, and then back to the analog domain. The series also covers what is needed to power today’s circuits, how to make them portable, how to lay them out, as well as provide an introduction to design tools, tips and techniques that help solve design challenges quickly. Each webcast is followed by a Q&A with a technical expert. To learn more about ADI’s online training resources for a variety of design needs, visit http://www.analog.com/pr/webcasts.
