Energen Donates $250,000 to Aid Storm Victims

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--Energen Corporation has contributed $250,000 to help those affected by the devastating storms and tornadoes that moved across Alabama on April 27.

“By matching contributions to the Fund, the Company hopes to help provide some relief to our employees who have suffered a loss as a result of Wednesday’s storms”

The energy company’s donation to the American Red Cross has been designated to assist storm victims in the hardest hit areas within its natural gas utility’s service territory.

Energen also is encouraging its employees at Alagasco and Energen Resources to give to relief agencies assisting storm victims statewide and will match, dollar for dollar, all employee contributions.

“This has been a devastating event for our state. We all want to do whatever we can to help those affected as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives,” said Chief Executive Officer James McManus.

Many Energen employees were directly impacted by these events as well.
