Palmetto Technology Group (PTG) Commemorates Earth Day With PC Recycling Program for Local Businesses

PTG will donate $10 to Upstate Forever for each PC that is recycled in April and offer free pick up service for businesses with 5 or more PCs to recycle

GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Palmetto Technology Group (PTG), an outsourced IT support company headquartered in Greenville, SC, announced today a B2B computer recycling program as part of their Earth Day 2011 initiative. PTG is collecting old computer equipment from local businesses, refurbishing and stripping them, and finding the PCs and servers a good home with an organization like a local school and charity. If the equipment is too old to be in service, PTG will shred the hard drive, supply a certificate that it was destroyed, and send the remaining components to Atlanta for recycling or environmentally-friendly disposition.
