BEAVERTON, Ore.--()--Ascensha, a web services company catering to the unique needs of technical alliances, standards groups, business consortia and non-profits, today announced the launch of a new web-based collaboration tool, Causeway.
“That’s why we are excited to offer Causeway to help organizations collaborate in more efficient ways.”
Drawing from parent company VTM Group’s more than 15 years of experience with special interest organizations of all sizes and industries, Ascensha created Causeway specifically for associations. The new application offers a feature-rich platform with a variety of modules that can be organized to best suit each group’s requirements.
“We understand that associations have diverse needs and recognize that they require a specific set of functionality to support their members,” says Eric Herr, web services manager for Ascensha. “That’s why we are excited to offer Causeway to help organizations collaborate in more efficient ways.”
Key benefits of the Causeway platform include:
- Modular Design: Users may choose from a variety of modules to adapt Causeway to best meet their needs. Current features include email and online discussions, message archiving, document repository with versioning and member news and announcements.
- Intuitive Interface: The clean, feature-rich interface enhances the user experience for members. In addition, association administrators can easily manage all individual, member company and work group information.
- Secure Environment: Causeway delivers all pages using the same encryption framework as online banking services. In addition, designated client administrators lock down access to the different areas of a site based on user or group permissions.
- Data Migration: Since many associations are already using other online collaboration tools, Ascensha will migrate existing data to Causeway, while striving to minimize interruptions to each client’s processes and workflow.
- Affordable Pricing: Ascensha designed Causeway’s tiered pricing model to meet budget needs for alliances both big and small.
- Free Upgrades: By actively engaging in conversations with clients, Ascensha identifies new capabilities to continually refine Causeway. For example, additional features such as calendaring, balloting and voting, project tracking and extensive reporting are slated to be released this summer.
Ascensha also plans to develop additional applications that can be integrated into Causeway, including tools that will allow members to manage their individual company and product presence on an association website or track a product during the certification process.
