BOSTON--()--ISITE Design, a Portland, OR- and Boston, MA-based digital agency, announced today that Senior Solutions Architect Rick Cabral has been named “Most Valuable Professional (MVP)” by Sitecore, a leading provider of Microsoft .NET content management systems, and an ISITE Design technology partner.
“It celebrates the most active individuals who offer expertise that enriches the community experience and maximizes the potential of the Sitecore CMS platform. We have an excellent group of MVPs this year and we look forward to seeing how they can further advance our users.”
Cabral, a veteran CMS architect and programmer, was one of 20 people worldwide to be named MVP this year.
The Sitecore MVP program recognizes exceptional technical community leaders who encourage the objective exchange of knowledge by actively sharing Web Content Management technology expertise. The Sitecore MVP Award celebrates the most active Sitecore community members from around the world who provide invaluable contributions.
Cabral, based at ISITE’s Boston office, is a widely recognized Sitecore CMS expert locally and nationally. At ISITE, Cabral has led Sitecore-based initiatives for Sokolove Law, City of Cambridge, Genzyme Corp. and other clients, while also devising new ways to leverage the Sitecore platform and training younger developers. He is also a founder and leader of the New England Sitecore User Group, which meets monthly at ISITE’s offices in Cambridge, MA; it is the largest organized Sitecore User Group in the world, with more than 125 members from in and around the Boston region.
Sitecore redefines how organizations engage with their customers online. Sitecore was the first Web Content Management system (WCM) to incorporate marketing automation, intranet portal, e-commerce, Web optimization, social media and campaign management technologies into a cohesive, integrated platform.
“The Sitecore MVP Program acknowledges individuals that have gone above and beyond to participate and help others in the Sitecore community,” said Lars Fløe Nielsen, VP, Technical Marketing, Sitecore Corporation. “It celebrates the most active individuals who offer expertise that enriches the community experience and maximizes the potential of the Sitecore CMS platform. We have an excellent group of MVPs this year and we look forward to seeing how they can further advance our users.”

ISITE has leveraged Sitecore solutions for the last five years and has built enterprise solutions on the platform for clients such as Siemens AG, Mt. “We have an integral partnership with Sitecore as part of our larger web content management practice,” said Jeff Cram, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder of ISITE Design. “The MVP recognition acknowledges our team’s considerable expertise on the platform and long-term commitment to helping our clients think strategically about how content management can drive their business forward.”
