AUSTIN, Texas--()--Virtual Bridges, Inc. today announced it has named Peter Poulin vice president of sales. In this role, Poulin will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expanding deployments within the company’s current customer base.
“There’s no question this market is growing and with Peter on board, we’re well positioned to expand our footprint and take share.”
Peter brings more than 25 years of hardware, software and services industry experience to Virtual Bridges. After spending 13 years at Compaq in a variety of sales, marketing and general management roles, Peter turned his focus to emerging and mid-market companies, helping them to drive growth and improve profitability. Most recently, he served as executive vice-president of marketing and business development for Hoover’s, where he helped architect a turnaround for the company’s $100 million SaaS business.
Prior to Hoover’s, Peter had P&L responsibility for the North American division of APC, a data center infrastructure provider. Peter has also held executive-level sales, marketing and business development roles for startups including Works (acquired by Bank of America), NetBotz (acquired by APC) and Segway.
"Peter has a proven track record of driving growth, penetrating new market segments, developing new business models and executing sales initiatives,” said Jim Curtin, chief executive officer of Virtual Bridges. "There’s no question this market is growing and with Peter on board, we’re well positioned to expand our footprint and take share.”
Virtual Bridges continues to see strong momentum for the company’s flagship VDI product, VERDE, that allows users to access desktops from any location or device, significantly reducing the costs and complexity of managing PCs. In addition to continued domestic growth, earlier this week the company announced a new distribution partnership with CDG, expanding Virtual Bridges’ presence in Europe.
