Waterlogic Launches New Firewall™ Purifying Kitchen Tap at WQA Show

SAN ANTONIO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, at the WQA Aquatech USA tradeshow, Waterlogic, the world’s leading brand of water dispensers, is unveiling its revolutionary new product for the home – the Firewall™ Tap. The kitchen tap incorporates Waterlogic’s unique Firewall technology which can offer 99.9999% purification for drinking water. It is a new product for the home market, a first for Waterlogic, and the only product of its type available worldwide. The tap will offer water dispensing in a combination of cold, sparkling and ambient options in a stylish black/brushed metal finish with easy-clean touch screen controls.

The Firewall technology is unique to the market because it is the first to provide purification at the point of dispense, meaning that only purified water flows from the tap and furthermore bacteria cannot get back in through the spout. The intense class A UV is designed to disinfect and remove microorganisms including bacteria and viruses from contaminated water bringing them to a safe drinking level. The technology is the first of its type to be certified to both P231 and NSF55a WQA standards.

The new tap can bring safe and clean drinking water in the home. “Boil water” are common place with at least one being reported almost every day in the USA. In 2008 an investigation from the Canadian Medical Association Journal discovered over 1700 “boil water” orders in place at the time and estimates that 90 Canadians die every year from drinking contaminated water. Contaminated water worries will be a thing of the past for those with a Firewall tap in the home. The tap will provide the security and reassurance that even when water is contaminated, the Firewall tap will provide a truly effective barrier so that the water is safe to drink.
