NEW YORK--()--The world’s leading designers, stylists and makeup artists, including Revlon Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman, will begin debuting the trends for Fall 2011 today, as Fashion Week gets underway in New York City. Revlon is partnering with Westman to create the beauty looks that will complement the collections of four of the season’s hottest shows: Oscar de la Renta, rag & bone, Zero+Maria Cornejo and Luca Luca. New York Fashion Week runs from February 10 – 17.
“Fashion Week is always one of my favorite times of the year”
“Fashion Week is always one of my favorite times of the year,” said Westman. “I love the energy and the creativity that flows backstage, as well as collaborating with designers and translating their vision with makeup. The entire experience is very inspiring as I begin to think about and create my new collections for Revlon."
“We love the special way in which fashion and beauty come together during New York Fashion Week and cannot wait to showcase our iconic heritage as a color authority and a creator of trends,” said Julia Goldin, Global Chief Marketing Officer for Revlon, Inc. “Many of the bold and glamorous beauty looks you will see Gucci bring to life on the runway will be created from vibrant new products and shades that we will release later this year. We are especially excited to also give all of our consumers a chance to experience Fashion Week and Gucci’s artistry online and on the go.”
Revlon will bring all of the looks it creates at Fashion Week to its Facebook and twitter pages and Revlon.com, giving people around the world a behind-the-scenes ticket to Revlon at Fashion Week. Westman will live-tweet all of the backstage action on Revlon’s twitter page, fielding questions from followers as she goes. Westman will also post step-by-step instructions on how to capture the beauty looks that she creates at the shows on Revlon’s Facebook page. And, shortly after Fashion Week wraps, Revlon.com visitors will be able to check out exclusive video footage of what really happens backstage.
Westman is a world-renowned makeup artist with an acute sense of cool, easy glamour making her the "go-to" makeup artist for some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and a favorite among top designers.
