IRVING, Texas--()--NEC Corporation of America (NEC), a leading provider and integrator of advanced communication and IT solutions, today announced that Ameristar Jet Charter, Inc., one of the country’s largest operators of on-demand cargo jet aircraft, implemented InUCB, an integrated version of UC for Business now available on the UNIVERGE SV8300 and SV8100 communications servers. InUCB has helped Ameristar Jet create a more personalized customer experience within the contact center through new presence capabilities.

This improvement has allowed Ameristar Jet to consolidate communications and collaboration on one platform, the UNIVERGE SV8300 communications server. The solution replaces three machines from their server room that had previously handled voice, voicemail and call center applications separately.

We’ve also embraced presence capabilities through InUCB, which allows our agents to see their colleagues’ availability, so callers are not transferred to busy agents.”
Previously, Ameristar Jet used NEC’s NEAX 2000 proven telephony platform with separate servers for its contact center and voicemail applications. By deploying InUCB for the SV8300, the company reduced the number of servers to just one, accounting for a 60-percent reduction in server power usage.
