International Shipholding Corporation Takes Delivery of Handysize Bulk Carrier

MOBILE, Ala.--()--International Shipholding Corporation (NYSE: ISH) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, East Gulf Shipholding, took delivery of the last of the three newbuilding 36,000 dwt, Double Hull, Handysize Bulk Carriers it contracted to build at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., Ltd. in Ulsan, Korea.

Mr. Niels M. Johnsen, chairman and chief executive officer, commented, "We are pleased to have expanded our fleet with the delivery of our third newbuilding Handysize Bulk Carrier. The addition of this specialized vessel further enhances our ability to meet the needs of cargo interests who transport diverse cargo in niche markets throughout the world and adds another participating vessel to the handysize commercial management structure that we cooperated in establishing last year.”
