ATHENS, Ga.--()--The National Investment Banking Association (NIBA) today announced the appointment of new officers and the election of three new members to its rotating nine-member Board of Directors which will provide leadership to the organization for the 2011 calendar year.
Key officer appointments include returning board member Jeffrey Manton Johnson of Atlanta being elected to serve as the new Chairman of the Board, and James Hock of Hanover International, Inc. being named Secretary/Treasurer.
Other returning board members are:
- Gerald Adler, Guzov Ofsink, LLC
- Vicky Barone, GVC Capital, LLC
- Patrick Power, J.P. Turner & Company, LLC; and
- Erick Paulson, Paulson Investment Company
Newly elected board members are:
- Carlo Corzine, Buckman, Buckman & Reid;
- Michael Scilia, ASG Securities; and
- Lynne Bolduc, Oswald & Yap
NIBA recognized the efforts of 2009-10 Chairman Keith Boyd, as well as that of Juan Ferreira of Merrimac Corporate Securities and Doug Aguililla of Newbridge Securities.
New Chairman Jeffrey Johnson stated, “Regulatory changes in the form of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and shifting market dynamics are redefining how companies access essential growth capital to be able to deliver new products and services, build facilities for growth and promote job creation in our local economies.
