The inaugural contest generated more than 100 entries aimed at optimizing social media, CRM, and mobile channels for small business marketing.

Winners of the contest were selected from a pool of finalists, made up of the winners from each of the contest’s categories. Grand-prize winner Kwanzoo won the Social Media category, while Powercard won in Contact Management and Peekaboo Mobile won in the Mobile division.
Kwanzoo provides simple applications for businesses to drive more leads and customer word of mouth through polls, quizzes, coupons, and promotions directly inside their Facebook Pages. Kwanzoo’s newest sign-up application, when integrated with Constant Contact, converts visitors to subscribers by offering incentives. Besides Facebook pages, Kwanzoo applications also run inside email newsletters and on websites, blogs, and partner sites. The company was awarded a total of $15,000 as the category and grand prize winner.

Peekaboo Mobile developed a new twist on the mobile social application genre. Their application lets businesses create mobile coupons to attract customers using Peekaboo Mobile in their local area. With the Constant Contact integration, the businesses can capture all the check-ins and coupon users and seamlessly add them to an email-marketing list.
