CARLSBAD, Calif.--()--XENONICS HOLDINGS, INC. (OTCBB:XNNH) (OTCQB:XNNH) announced today that it has received a contract from the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force valued at approximately $600,000 for Xenonics' crew served weapon light vehicle mount kits and related accessories. These kits allow Xenonics' NightHunter 3 high-intensity illumination devices to be attached to a vehicle where the light can be rotated in any direction, or quickly removed for hand-held use.
The first $300,000 of this order will ship this month. This order is in addition to a $300,000 order from the Rapid Equipping Force for NightHunter 3s and vehicle mount kits announced on November 30, 2010.
"Xenonics is an approved supplier of crew served weapon light systems for the Army. Thousands of our compact and light weight NightHunter illumination devices are in use by the Army today, and more on order. Our vehicle mount kit significantly increases the utility of our NightHunter lights for our soldiers in the field. We are optimistic about the potential of this new product for Xenonics," said Chairman Alan Magerman.
