Golfers Raise Record Amount for Charity at PSI’s 14th Annual Golf Tournament

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a respected provider of information technology (IT) solutions and services to the federal government, announced that a record amount was raised for charity at its 14th Annual Golf Invitational held October 15, 2010 at Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, MD. Over 160 players and many volunteers came out for a great day of golf that helped raise funds for cancer victims and their families.

“It means a lot to us, especially in the recovering economy, that golfers were willing to invest in our mission to make the cancer journey easier for area children with cancer and their families.”

Funds raised from the event totaled $29,358. With PSI's 100% matching donation, a total of $58,716 was collected. Of this amount, $36,500 will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and $22,216 will go to Special Love, a nonprofit organization benefiting victims of Ewing's sarcoma, a cancer affecting children and young adults. This year's donations represent an increase of approximately $18,000 over the amount raised by PSI last year.
