More than $50 Million in SBA Disaster Loans Approved in Illinois; Submit Applications before the November 17 Deadline

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--More than $50 million in U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Loans have been approved for homeowners, renters and businesses in designated Illinois counties affected by the severe storms and flooding that occurred on July 19 through Aug. 7, 2010.

“We are urging anyone affected by this disaster to visit one of the Disaster Loan Outreach Centers for one-on-one assistance and submit their loan application before the November 17 deadline”

SBA issued more than 91,000 disaster loan applications, however only 11,500 have been returned. “We are urging anyone affected by this disaster to visit one of the Disaster Loan Outreach Centers for one-on-one assistance and submit their loan application before the November 17 deadline,” said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA’s Field Operations Center East. Homeowners and renters who do not qualify for a disaster loan are referred to FEMA for possible additional grant consideration.
