New Coordinating Centre Helps Physicians & Patients Reliably Identify & Manage Abnormal Cardiac Rhythms from Home or from the Doctor’s Offices

(TSX-V: EKG) announced today the official opening of ‘C4™,’ the CardioComm Coordinating Centre in Ontario, for arrhythmia monitoring and management. As one of the leading providers of ECG management services in North America, CardioComm first established C4 late last year as a beta site, but now boasts 36 customers in the Ontario area. The C4 service combines the hardware, software and services which allow physicians and clinics to reliably offer patients Event Loop Recording (ELR) services through their own offices.

Easy-to-Use Process

Once patients are hooked up to a recorder in the doctor’s office or at home, they transmit cardiac events via a phone line using CardioComm’s proprietary GlobalCardio software and AutoAttendant system, which is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Patient recordings, once transmitted, are instantly available to physicians through CardioComm’s Global ECG Management System (GEMS). Optional services with C4 include ECG triaging for urgent identification of abnormal cardiac rhythms, and ECG monitoring interpretation.

The ability to receive wireless transmission from cellular-enabled ELRs is also planned for 2011, which will enable C4 to access the U.S. arrhythmia monitoring market.
