Priority Health Expands Physician Network in Eastern Michigan

More than 1,600 physicians have joined Priority Health’s provider network

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--()--More than 1,600 physicians have agreed to join Priority Health’s network within a 25-county area in eastern Michigan. The 1,600 physicians include 900 primary care physicians and 700 specialists. All of the physicians can be found on Priority Health’s Find a Doctor Web tool, an interactive Web tool designed to help customers find the right physician quickly.

“Priority Health is focused on growth,” said Kimberly K. Horn, president and CEO for Priority Health. “By adding to our physician network and our Find a Doctor tool, we are providing our customers with greater choice and resources to get the health care they need.”

The company is actively working with physicians to expand its network to serve its ever-growing membership. Last year, more than 100,000 people switched to Priority Health.

Priority Health’s award-winning Find a Doctor tool on priorityhealth.com enables patients to quickly find specialists, hospitals, primary care providers and other services. Using search options within the tool, patients can find specific health care providers based on any one or combination of criteria, including location, education, specialty, gender, language spoken and much more. Priority Health began publishing primary care physician information on priorityhealth.com more than seven years ago. Since then, the online directory has been enhanced to make it easier for patients to find specialists, pharmacies, hospitals, urgent care facilities, mental health providers, chiropractors and vision care.

Priority Health’s provider network for both its PPO and HMO plans offers 16,000 physicians across the state of Michigan.
