6th Annual Bowling for Boobies Rolls into Los Angeles with Added Support

Events in Philadelphia and Houston Give Added Lift to Busted Foundation’s Signature Fundraising Event

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif.--()--Busted Foundation hosted its signature fundraising event, Bowling for Boobies, last night at Jillian’s in Universal City. For the second consecutive year, celebrity supporters Jane Wiedlin (“Go-Go’s”) and Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911”) battled head-to-head with bowling teams assembled with the common goal of raising money and awareness for women enduring breast cancer.

“Seeing the positive impact of the Bowling for Boobies blueprint in supporting cities is nothing short of exhilarating!”

Last week, supporting Bowling for Boobies events were held in Philadelphia and Houston. Busted Foundation confirmed plans to roll out similar satellite events on an ongoing basis. “Seeing the positive impact of the Bowling for Boobies blueprint in supporting cities is nothing short of exhilarating!” said Stefanie LaHart, founder of Busted Foundation. “Our hope is that expanding fundraising in additional cities will help more women who are overwhelmed with the financial implications of living and dealing with breast cancer.”

Wiedlin and Lennon joined forces on their bowling team, “The Speed Demons,” competing against fundraising teams including “Boobie Friday,” “BonTemp Bombshells,” “The Horror Starlets” and “Boobie Trap” in what’s rapidly becoming known as Los Angeles’ most outrageous and colorful charity bowling event.

The proceeds from this event and supporting events in Philadelphia and Houston help Busted Foundation provide monetary assistance to local women experiencing financial challenges as a result of fighting and living with breast cancer. Donations go directly to these women.

Those who wish to contribute are encouraged to make a direct donation of any amount online via the website, http://www.bowlingforboobies.com.

All told, prior Bowling for Boobies events have raised more than $200,000 to benefit women fighting breast cancer.
